EVITA COMES TO DUBAI

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 24th May 2017: Following its smash-hit run in London’s West End, Broadway Entertainment Group and Dubai Opera is pleased to announce that Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita is set to thrill Dubai audiences for 16 performances only from the 22nd January to the 3rd February 2018.

With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this legendary show tells the famous story of Eva Peron, First Lady to Argentine president Juan Peron, who has dedicated her life to charity and has been heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’.

Released as a rock opera in 1976, the Tony award-winning show, translated into over 14 languages, has over 40 years of success in the West End and Broadway.

The legendary show combines the best of musical with award-winning songs. After 20 years of its first release ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ was again a number one hit in 8 countries and sold over 10 million copies in the UK alone.

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, and the Oscar award winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this smash hit show truly promises to be THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF 2018!
